Our V-LAP study was launched in Israel one year ago. The first Israeli patient to be fitted with the world’s first in-heart microcomputer was Professor Tal Hasin’s patient at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem. Nicolò Di Bartolo is one of 24 patients in the world, and fifth in Italy, to have taken part in the clinical trial of V-LAP: “Before the surgery, I was ill and I had ailments, especially in the last period, some of which were quite serious. Now I have been doing well for almost a year”, he says with a smile.
For years, Moni Yossef from Metula, Israel, lives with congestive heart failure. He experiences difficulties in performing his daily activities and every 3 months, he needs to drive hours to the hospital for checkups.
